I have been tracing things down and thought the BH connection on the blue ignition wire was the problem. I would have 12.8 volts at battery and could only get 11.1 at the VR. Pulled BH connection apart numerous times and would have battery voltage leaving the BH. Added di=electric grease to all...
I have a 69 Road Runner with a 727 auto. The transmission was re-built about 12 years ago and may have 5000 miles on it. I don't remember the mileage. Anyway, the car has been parked for the last 8 years. Everything about the transmission works fine. It has good firm shifts, goes into gear...
I am putting the front suspension back in my 69 RR. What are the torque specs on the ball joints, tie rods, and backing plate bolts? Also, is there a particular procedure for installing and loading the torsion bars or simply line up the hex and tighten the adjustment bolt? Thanks, Steven
My RR has been under a cover for the past 8 years or so and hasn't been on the road. Pulled it out a few weeks ago and got it running. New tires and wheels yesterday and finally drove it about 20 miles today. When i got home, it appears that the seal on the input shaft may be leaking. What is...
Thanks for the information. This is what I remembered a kid before my dad repainted it as well pointing me in the right direction. This is what it currently looks like. Thanks
I need some help with the correct interior colors. The car is a 69 Y3 convertible. The dash, A pillars, steering column/wheel, and front kick panels are brown. The seats, doors, door panels, rear side panels have all been painted white. The fender tag has H2H (interior white & tan) and also T7...
Been looking through the tire threads and it seems people like the 215/70/15 front (26.69") and the 275/60/15 (28.07") rear. I'll keep reading but may look into that combo. Thanks, Steven
Thanks for the input. I was thinking of 245/60/15 (26.5") up front and 275/60/15 (28.0") on the rear. If I went with a 215 on the front, what size would compliment it on the rear? I would like a little rake but not too much. Currently, it has the factory 14" mag 500 with 195/70's i believe...
Been looking at new wheels for the 69 RR and the ones that I would like to get only come in 3 3/4" back spacing on a 15"x7" for the front. The only other option would be to go with 15"x8" on all corners to get the 4 1/2" bs. The wheels are the Torq-Thrust 605D. Thanks, Steven
When is the last time you bought something that was "MADE IN THE USA". We are slowly becoming the United States of China. We were told "change" is coming and here it is. Thanks - 69rrvert
