Although I have a 71, I used the AMD kit that included the torque boxes. I also added the lower radiator support as well to lock in the front frame rails. Upgrading to a 440/505 stroker / 6spd Tremec from a 340/727
She’s now back on the lift to mock up the suspension. Weld in the 4 link and get her back on shop wheels and test fit engine and 6spd to locate trans tunnel. Once it’s on wheels the rear quarter will be removed and replaced.
It’s been a bit since my last update. Almost all the body work is complete. Floor pans, stiffing kit and torque boxes are all in and welding completed. The last thing to do is the right rear quarter panel.
This is what HBR used in my 440/505 build. Its not in my car yet cuz it’s getting the last of the sheet metal work done but it is complete and running.
I’m not a flat star spoke fan and had Rockets on my 71 when I bought it in 76. Was going to go with the first one in 17’s on my RR restoration but decided to change the style to the second pic. So going with 18’s for better disc brake clearance.
I know some here think it is a waste of money but for me the dash pad is one of the focal points of the restoration. I had mine restored at Just Dashes. They did an excellent job on it too. It was pretty trashed from the Vegas heat. They did a color match from the underside that’s never exposed...

I did a little eye candy work under the hood while I was in OKC and she was looking nice. That Oklahoma red clay was a bitch to get off the car and the car washes the have pretty high pressure. On day I was washing it and angled the spray nozzle sideways and the paint just shot off the quarter...
So the wife was digging in the cedar chest last night and found a few pictures. This was the day after I bought the car in 76. This was the only pictures I had when it was Hemi Orange. I moved to OKC the spring of 78 to let things cool down. (Pre mother in law issues :BangHead: )
