No one commented on the interior color, the XW is black/white. Its a combination I have seen a few times on fender tags. Not many folks restore back to the original way it was done. Its an acquired taste. I think it would be really cool on this car to go back with that combo-color interior.
The original radio I had, but the AM-only versions can be picked up relatively inexpensively. The conversion set me back about $450, if I recall correctly. Been a while and I've slept since then......and not at a Holiday Inn Express, either. I very much like the conversion, sounds great. I...
Pick up an original at a swap meet, and get it converted to modern internals. If you goo gle search for: 1973 plymouth roadrunner radio youtube ....you should get a video of the radio for my '73 rr. It was done by R&B Vintage Auto Radio.
It could be done with the windshield in the car. I removed the entire assembly (frame w/pad, etc.) out of my car. Nacho has a great write-up on the steps to get it done, its here on the site somewhere. I used that write-up to help me out. The dash frame can be rotated back into the car while...
Thanks Ghostrider 67, but I am looking for a 26" radiator for a '73 big block b-body. Also, the inlet and outlet must be on the passenger for my application.
:welcome: from Alabama! Sweeeeet ride, B3 is a great color!
As has already been mentioned, bad grounding can create all sorts of electrical gremlins. Check all of the grounds, clean the terminals and the ground area to ensure there is no rust/corrosion. There are grounds in unusual places...
Looking for an original 26" radiator for 1973 road runner, big block, auto trans. My research comes up with a couple part numbers: 3673961 or 3673054. Both the inlet and outlet will be on passenger side. Let me know if anyone has one they would like to part with.
My understanding (limited, mind you) is this: 22" for small block, 26" for big block and the small block with A/C, 28" for big block with A/C. There are option packages that effect the size, but that's the basics as I understand them. Your mileage may vary, I did not sleep at a Holiday Inn...
Thanks for checking cheeseburgerhead69. If I am reading this right, 3673924 shows to be for a small block, E body, 1973. Unfortunately, that one won't work for me, the outlets are on opposite sides. But thank you very much for looking!
