    What alternator you guys running?

I have been using this one and have no complaints whatsoever. It has outstanding low RPM output as well as increased overall output. Obviously I made required changes so that I wasn't passing through the amp meter. I actually had already switched to a Ron francis conversion for electrical before...

Looking for a reliable transporter for a friend.

Absolutely, hence the reason for this post. They are flying out to see the car before purchase and will complete the transaction if all looks good. They then want a shipper to deliver the car to their Minnesota home. I have seen a number of issues that people have had with shifty transporters as...

Looking for a reliable transporter for a friend.

Hello, I have a friend who is helping her 80+ year old father buy a pickup from a seller in Connecticut. They were going to drive and pick it up but she is worried about the stress on her father from the 4 days required driving using a rented U-Hall (home is in Gilbert MN). They are now thinking...

Boxing in rear deck speakers ?

As an audiophile of many years I can say from experience that you always want an amp which has more power than you need for driving your speakers to the volume levels you want. If you don't, you will always drive the amp to clipping which is the kiss of death for a speaker. Way more than...

    New 512 Stroker Running hot

I run the same fans but don't have an issue. I do use the Derale progressive fan controller though. It spins up one fan slowly and then brings in the 2nd fan if needed. By doing it this way it never spikes the system and keep power draw lower. This is set up on a 526" with a .715 Solid roller...

The first 12 minutes of MTV

That was the "Mother" of all moments. See what I did there? I crack myself up. :)

Crower M280H cam from tge 70s

I was able to run lots of 12.01's in a 4200lb '67 Coronet with this cam in a stroked 383 (448" w/3.90 stroke) with crazy old JC Penny 7" Cheater slicks. Mine was ground by Chet Herbert cams though and had a 108 center. It had awesome street manners and was consistent as hell in the 1/4. Probably...

    Fire Extinguisher placement

I have mine mounted on my rollbar so I can get it quickly, or someone outside the car can retrieve it. Super easy release mechanism, and it looks good to boot.

What was the coolest toy you had as a kid?

The Laker Special was the fastest and straightest tracking of all of them. At one point I had all of them but kept going back to the Laker Special as my go to for winning races against my friends. The Black Widow was the worst. All it did was get the speed wobbles and then roll over on its side.

Finally ordered my S60! what to expect?

I did the switchover and didn't need anything else other than the driveshaft. Everything else switched over. If you want to run a pinion snubber Cass offers one, but it isn't adjustable. If you went with the S-trak you will really like the unit. Very predictable and quiet. Edit: I did need to...

    Hard cold start

Tanks Inc is now offering replacement tanks with in-tank electric pumps with return lines. This is truly the best way to get around this issue if you don't mind spending the $$$ to switch over your entire fuel system. Turn the key, count to 5 and pump the gas and start it...

You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose.

Tied to that, a photon which is a packet of light, exits the sun, travels through space, lands on earth 8 minutes later and is felt by your face, etc. and because it travels at the speed of light, even though it took 8 minutes to get here, is the exact same age as when it left the sun.

    Rust Inhibitor/Encapsulation

I can't speak to Corroseal but Rust Bullet can be painted on. I have used it multiple times in the past 15 years with 100% success and zero re-failing/re-rusting. As long as you get the bigger chunk stuff removed and paint out to reasonably clean metal, it will hold up almost indefinitely. You...

    LemonWedge 470 build thread

Just wondering how you are liking the Progression distributor now that you've had it for a while. I am thinking about pulling the plug but haven't been able to yet since I have a full MSD setup right now that works perfectly (except for the lack of vacuum advance for when I street drive). I...
