The Polara and I were on the Garage Dreams TV show Saturday night (Motor Trend Channel). They spent 5 hours here last January filming for a 10 minute segment. Another member of our club who owns a '57 Chevy sedan delivery was also on the show.
I was not allowed to publicize this appearance...
Here is a link from Inland Empire Driveline. These guys are specialists at setting up drivelines and especially pinion angles.

I have a 95% complete 1964 383 and a 70's 400 for sale or trade. Both engines are missing ancillary parts. No carbs, alternators, etc. They have not been torn down at this point. These are cores for rebuilding that I've been saving for future projects but I'm getting old and the project I...
Stock tapered rear axle. 15 x 5 1/2 with 4" back spacing on the front and 15 x 8 with 4.5" back spacing on the rear. Tires are 215/R70s front and 275/R60 rear. Tight fit but no rubbing.
This is a pic of my Headman headers on the 440 that I built for my '64 Polara. A couple judicious dents for clearance and with a mini starter I have plenty of room.
I used an 18" rigid race fan with steel blades on mine (Summit Racing # DER-17318). It's rated to 8000 rpm and with my home made shroud works fine and keeps my mild build 440 at 180 degrees even in the Texas summer heat.
Here's a pic of the 440 that's now in my '64 Polara. The AC compressor is located where the power steering pump would normally be. I have manual steering on this car and this works pretty well. These brackets are available from https://www.bouchillonperformance.com/
These were the lights that came on my '64 50th Anniversary model. Originally the center light was the backup light. I changed the center lens and converted the lights to sequential operation.
I used the 440 Source 7 quart pan. It fit fine in my '64 Polara with just a couple little (quarter sized) notches taken out of the "K" member for clearance. It hangs down a couple inches below the "K" member but ground clearance is still enough to take on just about any speed bump. Steering...
You need to rotate the crankshaft while priming the oil system. As memory serves the rockers are fed by oil galleys that are supplied by the camshaft bearings. You need to rotate the crank to line up the holes in the cam with the oil galleys to supply oil to the rockers just like the early hemis.
You can convert your tapered axles to slip on drums easily and with no need to spend the $$$ to swap to a later housing or new axles. Just follow this link to see how easy it is. Total cost is 10 new wheel studs from NAPA and a couple '65 or later brake drums...
