I am trying to reassemble the front end of my 66 satellite and finding lots of bolt holes are not lined up. I'm now suspicious that it may have had a front end collision and was not properly fixed before being painted. Can someone here help with some pictures of the upper and lower grille...
The distributer is from the Summit brand conversion kit it claims the mechanical advance to be the same as OEM Chrysler
Assuming the Mechanical advance is the same as OEM, what RPM should the mechanical be 'all in' ?
After priming I rotated the engine to 12 degrees advanced and dropped the...
Looking for some advice on tuning my new rebuild. Let me start by saying that this is my first engine build so I don't have a lot of experience to lean on. I've been reading and watching plenty of video's on carb and timing set up, but still a bit unclear on which to adjust and in what order...
I'm in the middle of fixing the partially burned wire harness in my 1966 satellite. This connector is causing me some confusion. The violet w/tracer coming from the console harness has a second short wire and terminal, anybody know where this connects. I have the fsm but don't see the console...
And it clears the input shaft of the front pump ok?
I bought one of those, but changed my mind about building a run stand (limited space in garage). Figured I could just drop the engine and trans in the car with a flywheel to keep them disconnected atleast for the cam break in.
Plus I need...
As the title said, for the purpose of breaking in a new engine without spinning the pump in the trans, will a 130 tooth 10.5 inch flywheel fit/work for this?
1966 Satellite, new aftermarket spectra tank and sending unit. How far should the pick up be from the bottom of the tank? It seems a bit high off of the floor of the tank, maybe 3/4 inch or so at the closest. Also should the float contact the floor when totally empty, because this one sits...
I'm getting the fuel system cleaned up on my satellite before dropping the new engine in, and thinking about plumbing a return/vapor line to prevent vapor lock. My current thought is to weld a 1/8 ntp bung into the upper front portion of the tank and plum the line in there.
Has anyone here...
I'm finishing up my 440 build and am trying to get all the front accessories figured out before the engine goes in, and I'm running into a bit of a headache with the power steering. I know I could just go drop $300-$400 at 440 source and get everything I need to swap to a Saginaw set up, but...
I'd be interested in the boot alone if that's all you had, I can clean up and reuse the metal parts on mine. Tried to PM you but your inbox is full. You can send me a PM if you'd like to sell the boot with price and shipping. Thanks.
PM sent. Good to know, I found some info on fcbo, looks like as of now those are not reproduced, only the round ones.
Seems like the common fix is to screw a piece of sheet metal over the hole and mount the round boot to that.
Thats it alright, C body though? How strange, the oval hole looks factory. Makes me wonder how common it was to 'borrow' parts from other production lines.
That's would be great, let me know if you do and how much you'd want for it. Thanks!
I need a new boot for my '66 Satellite, it's oval and has 6 screws, all the boots I can find are round with 3 screws and are listed as '66-'74 A and B. Even Year One has the round boot listed for '66. Is the round boot correct? If so does anyone know what the oval boot would be off of? I...
