The bumps slowed down the 60ft. about 3
but probably helped the light about to same amount. In my
opinion, I really think it was a push, but Jon thinks
it helped the outcome.
Our 70 Duster (Project Hot Rod car years ago) ran
10s with just the mono springs (6.60 Eight mile).
The bars are noisy on a streetcar but do help consistency
and ease of tuning the suspension.
The goal was to build the lightest possible stock chassis/body
car that was street legal and mild...
915 or 906 Heads with the built in pedestals
flow way better and usually are easy to findI have 20
sets in the shop and generallyonly $150 a set or so most places.
Might be easier and better way
to go unless you need to keep it original.
This was built back in the last
century when they were made in the US.
We use this model on our Race and Street/Strip
and it performs better than anything we have tried.
The newer Mopar Perf. aluminum case distributors
wear the Bearings out regularly and just do not have
the quality/durability...
Motor mounts are the same on 383/413/426/440 engines
in that year B body. Only would take a minor mod on wiring
harness for front distributor and coil. In my opinion easy deal.
Getting the whole car would simplify and drive train issues and wiring
etc.
