Cool car that's nicely done, but it's not 185 large worth of cool and nice.

Cool car. Slow and boring, but cool. I only had mine for a year. It was because I wanted it to be fast. I think it's the only time I sold a car, because of conscience.

I'm REALLY not an OEM guy. The stuff bores me to tears. If I got my hands on a real hemi Daytona, I would day-2 it, at minimum.
It takes absolutely no imagination to have a car that looks like it just rolled off the line.

Now my Hellcat, That's pretty exciting, as is.....plus I have a long warranty on it.

I'm the same way....if my 64 Dart had been an automatic, I wouldn't have bought it. A /6 car with an auto is extremely boring.

Man, beautiful car and cool color combo. Unfortunately, the 69 500 is my least favorite 2ND Gen with it's googly eyes. To me it looks like someone is squeezing it to death and it's eyes are popping out like those old kid squeeze toys. Lol.

I hate the fat front end, 70 Chargers. All the 69's were the best.

For posterity:

Funny thing is, I'd rather have a 69 charger that I could clone into a 500, paint whatever color I like, and throw a hemi in, and just drive it. I bet it could be done for $75k.

I would be thinking seriously about this car, with a Hemi, and a 4spd...
Years ago, I ran across this one that some friends were repairing. Had it all, but I'm just not a B5 fan...

I wonder how a 70 Challenger would look like with a grille treatment like that. I do know from experience from owning several that the 70 Challenger caught a LOT of air in there and the corners of the hood would rise up a good 1/4" or more once the car was at 100 or more. Told me why so many added hood pins to them lol

My 69 Charger 500 that I bought new with 440 Auto/AC
ran 13.83 @ 102 MPH which back then was not really bad performance
for a Daily Driver. I had to pay window sticker ($5,102. as I recall) as
there were not many in So Cal to buy back then. It was bought right off
the showroom floor at Saddleback Dodge which was a top performance dealership back then.

I also bought a 1969 M code 440 Dart GTS from them as well (they had 20
of them there in the back lot! It ran 13.30 @ 106 Stock which was pretty
quick for a stock off the showroom car in those days.

Both of them were traction limited with the production tires back then.
