I am using a 1994 518 with JW Performance bell housing adaptor behind a 440. The OD and lockup is each controlled with a electric solenoid that can be controlled manually or automated using pressure switches. Not cheap by the time you buy a stall/lockup and the adaptor but the OD/lockup is great.

I am installing a 518 OD trans in my 64 Belvedere. Will the same after market shifters that work on the 727 work on the 518? Anyone who has used the 518, which shifter have you used?

road chicken is right! I have quite a bit of experience with TKO 600's in a 69 Chevelle project, (same trans for Mopar) Got my first one as a kit from Keisler. Leaked oil from top cover, drive line angle problems, vibration problems, and would not power shift from 2nd to 3rd above 5000 rpm's...

Thanks for the pictures and info. Hemicbx- I like the white wheels, very nice. I would like to have 10" wheel with 5 1/2" BS and 295/50/15. Do you think this would be better with 8" wheels? I was thinking with the springs relocated I could get by with more BS.( meaning back space :)...

Looking for input on wheel and tire combo for 65 Belvedere. I have moved the springs in with spring re-locators, No mini tub. Stock rear end width. I would like to use 15" Weld Draglites Thanks, Jim

I am looking for a replacement for the the plastic side molding clips for my Belvedere. I can't seem to find the same ones. What clips can I use?

Thanks for all the info guys. So, as far as bushings and tie rods ect. is everything the same from 64 to 70 other than the idler arm? I am converting to disc brakes so all those parts will be replaced

My 64 Belvedere was a slant 6 car. The K frame I got with the car is a #3466476 (1970 B Body 440 w/skid). Can I use this K frame to install a 440 in my car?

My 64 Belevedere had the plastic clips for the side trim. Of course most broke during removal. What clips can I use for replacements and where can I get them? Thanks
