    Black Oxide Kit by Casewell

I used the Caswell kit on the hood latch on my Charger. Came out great, it has been about 10 years now and it is still looking good with no corrosion or discolaration.

Bendix Power brake booster push rod length

Pretty interesting thread. I have seen this as well with 69 and back master cylinders (the tall skinny ones). I have also seen quite a bit of variation in how much sticks out. I punted and went with a late 70 MC instead since it used the retaining snap ring on the back and was therefore...

WTB Mopar information on Hemi vacuum emission valve

Setting the valve up is in the service manual, there are a couple of paragraphs on it and a picture. A little hit and miss in getting it “right”. I messed with mine for a while and didn’t really sense much difference so I just plugged it by running the hoses to itself and ran the advance...

    “Simple” Toe-in question

Thanks for the help. Got the steering wheel straight, toe-in between 1/16 and 1/8.

    “Simple” Toe-in question

Quick question. I seem to be having a hard time visualizing the puzzle to fix my problem. My 69 Charger has too much toe-in…1/8”. My fault, I do the alignment manually using the various commercially available fixtures. I need to tweak it back. But… When driving my car tracks straight...

    15/16" or 1 1/32" bore master cylinder?

Stumbled in to this thread while doing some research. I have a 69 Hemi Charger. Running the 71 and later B-Body single piston pin type calipers up front from the day I got it versus the stock 4 piston calipers, this with the factory stock 1 1/8 bore master cylinder coupled with the Hemi only...

    Odd six pack behavior?

I was helping a friend tune his V code Runner. Everything came out great, car runs strong. But…while tuning it we ended up with the rod connecting to the rear outer carb misadjusted so that it just cracked the butterflies open, the result was the engine jumped to 4500 rpm when started and...

    Distributor Phasing

Which work great, I have used them. Of course to do this there is the part where you have to cut a hole in a cap and see if you can watch the spark while running with a timing light...or I think I found an easier way. They used to make clear caps years ago in the aftermarket as kind of a...

    Coil for Mopar Electronic Ignition?

Also, as I think about it...check the floats in the carb?

    Coil for Mopar Electronic Ignition?

In picking a coil for what you are doing in way of set up, primary resistance matters. The 1.4-1.5 ohm resistance is right. Need to look at that if buying a performance coil as they often come in two flavors relative to this...normal resistance and very low. A few other things to check...

    Coil for Mopar Electronic Ignition?

The yellow Accel 8140 coil works well, and it is mentioned in several of the old Mopar books as a good match for the electronic ignition when also used with a stock ballast. I have used them with no problem. For looks I paint them black and then stencil the Mopar coil lettering.

Low RPM idle when in gear and weak uneven idle

I agree with the above. That big of a drop, based on what you are saying on timing, is probably carb settings (too lean). Though I would bump the idle timing a bit as well to 16-18. This all assumes you still don’t have a hidden vacuum leak somewhere. But each car is different. All...

    alternate coil location on 440

As noted above, does the 440 6 pack coil bracket work for you?
