I'm just finishing up on my 426 .040 over. The right pistons will cost you $925 - $950, spend the money! As my machine shop said don't ever go with used piston or rods if you plan on having the engine for any length of time, it'll be a small amount of money compared to the rest of the build.

I installed a Classic Auto Air in my 1964 Sport Fury, the only problem was the compressor. The mounting hardware is all for 1966 and later. The engine sits back about 2 to 2 1/2 inches 66 and later. Good luck!

You got a great price on yours if you got it for $15.00! The person that had it did not know what they had. If you find one a any swap meet it is almost never less than $150.00 even with many large cracks. I looked for a very long time before I found a good one (image above). Larry

They can be very expensive, after looking for over a year I bought one about 2 months ago for $600.00. I have seen a number $300 - $400, but they all needed to be rebuilt (can cost around $1200.00 for good rebuild if you have a core)
