    Vapor Lock Remedy/ Advice

Ooooh how I long for the days of good gas. Back in my high school days (mid 80's) I had a '60 Imperial with a seemingly bullet proof 413 and a '65 Barracuda with a 273 which in my opinion was the best small block for an all around cruiser and I never experienced vapor lock or any other fuel...

Question for QA 1 Front suspension users

Thanks for the replies...also thanks for the pics. I've been leaning on getting the full set-up, just wanted to see what others were running. Yes, the QA1 K does free up alot of space. Looks like the oil filter change will be lot less messy, No more wrapping everything in plastic bags or...

Question for QA 1 Front suspension users

For you guys using these components. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on buying my front end parts...I would like to know the pros and cons of using the full set-up (QA 1 upper, lower control arms and K-member parts) vs. using my factory K-member and adding the QA 1 upper and lower control...

    Firewall brake booster modification

Did some test fitting and here are some pics to show the situation. First pic: The flare that holds the rubber boot in place will not pass thru the firewall. Pic 2: New plate attaches to booster with no issue. Pic 3: New plate on firewall shows the fit issue. Pic 4: Old plate clearly does...

    Firewall brake booster modification

I’ll do some more test fitting with the individual components and try and get some pics posted. I really want to avoid any cutting on this firewall.

    Firewall brake booster modification

Yes, the plate that was recommended for the booster fits together perfect. I even put the factory plate over the firewall opening by itself and some of the firewall sheet metal appears in the plate opening. That's when the question of firewall mods came to mind.

    Firewall brake booster modification

Checking in with others who may have had to modify (CUT) their firewalls for disc brake booster upgrades. I was in the process of installing a booster for my upgrading the front drums to disc. Purchased it from Dr Diff and I also got the firewall plate that goes with it. Tried installing it...

Random letters & numbers on 727 TqF

Ah...makes sense. This is the tranny from my '68 Charger...just verified my VIN. The stamping just looked random. Thanks! Never noticed this before until I started wiping all the grime off.

Random letters & numbers on 727 TqF

Anyone know what these stampings may be? They are free-hand stamped on the bellhousing and seem to me to be non-factory unlike the ones found on the pan rail.

    Getting closer to assembly

WOW, I did not realize I was building an Atomic Clock or putting a man on the moon. It's a cam choice, not a TIME MACHINE. Thanks for your input though. I guess I better get busy with my science project...looks like I have a long night of throwing darts at a cam book.
