Tremec bolt in 5 speed (true or false)

You still have to cut because the shifter comes up through the center of the tunnel rather than offset through the shifter hump. The shifter hump gets sealed off as part of the conversion ('62-'70). Automatic cars do not require the hump for this reason when converting to 5 speed TKO. The...

    Hydramax Hydrolic clutch problem

Sounds like the bearing has over extended or perhaps failed in some way. I'd get AP's opinion since it's their product but it seems like time to pull the trans. Jeff

Have you tried opening the bleeder to relieve pressure? Just a thought...

Tremec bolt in 5 speed (true or false)

All Mopar A, B and E bodies require cutting to install a Tremec TKO no matter how much case modification it receives. I've seen some E body installations that didn't require cutting but they're not common. Jeff

Ready to start 5 speed swap on 69 Charger

I read where your hydraulic bearing height was within spec but what was the exact measurement? If we move the bearing a bit closer, it will disengage sooner and also raise the pedal height for engagement.

I'm sorry you were misinformed and I'm schooling/scolding Ben as we speak. Hurst may indeed make a specific handle for the B body 5 speed install but it's hard to tell from the photos. In either case, the throws will be long simply due to the handle length.

The Hurst handle typically doesn't work well with the 5 speed installs since it's not bent properly. See attached photos of our shifter handle.

Looks perfect to me. Not my brand of beer though, you'll have to work on that...:happy3:

Ready to start 5 speed swap on 69 Charger

That crossmember looks to be for a TKO or a different body and I've attached a photo of the proper B body RS crossmember. The speedo port location was a bad deal from the start and the final revision moved it to the driver's side. We do not have any of these unfortunately. We also have the...

That has the later style extension housing so it's definitely a later production run. Snow here too. :icon_frown:

Looks like you did get the correct sheet metal for the tunnel and I missed it in previous photos. Let us know if you need any tech support along the way. Jeff Silver Sport Transmissions

That handle will not work; it's bent/formed for the 4 speed side linkage and all RS/SS/Legend/TKO units come up through the tunnel on center. That handle will be on the passenger side of the tunnel when installed. - - - Updated - - - You are correct Sir. - - - Updated - - - Cutting is...
