From Ren n nator to stock orange box

Hi Bob, this system was recommended by the builder of the engine. There’s an older saying “ if you want something done right do it yourself “.

From Ren n nator to stock orange box

Same as mine. In its defense. I just swapped it out for a stock orange box and although it seems better. I’m not convinced it’s cured. Still a little break up about 4500. Was hoping this was the fix…

From Ren n nator to stock orange box

From Ren n nator to stock orange box

Well I’m not happy with it either as the car only has 3000 miles on it since a high end Resto of every nut in bolt. But I will say that Troy has been great with trying to help me out. I called his number from the website and within a day or two he called me back. And I texted him just now as I...

From Ren n nator to stock orange box

So the car is breaking up under hard load around 4500. I spoke with Troy about the rev n nator as a possible cause and to eliminate it I was going to plug in a stock new orange box and see what happens. And I’m a novice especially when it comes to wiring so I want to be sure I hook my tach up...

From Ren n nator to stock orange box

Hey guys me again. Stil having issues with break Uber heavy load so trying to eliminate some stuff and was going to replace the rev n nator box with a stock orange box. On the rev box there’s an Aux Tach wire off the back. Where or what do I do with that as there’s nothing on the stock box. Not...

    Rev-n-Nator x 2 pin resistor

Bee71, he did mention getting a 2 post resistor that was 1 to 1.5 ohms which I did. JEGS has them. And he said at his shop they would remove the 4 tab resistors and use just a 2 tab so I’m hoping I’ll be ok. That old Q/A from their site is what I found as well. I’m probably just being paranoid...

    Rev-n-Nator x 2 pin resistor

Hey Bee71 not sure what he requires and I don’t know enough about electrical to ask. That part of the build was done for me and the guys who did it are gone so. I’m stumbling along as best I can. With th 2 pin in place it runs great but I don’t want to cook something and end up on the side of...

    Rev-n-Nator x 2 pin resistor

Hello everyone, so I have a 500" big block x 6 pack, using electronic ignition and a Rev-N-Nator set up, I got the entire kit with their coil and stuff. I started having break up at about 5000 rpms. otherwise, the car ran great and pulled hard up to the point of breaking up. Before all this a...

Ballast resistor or no ballast resistor

Can you elaborate a little John, with no points to protect what else does it do? I’m very electrical ignorant to be painfully honest

Ballast resistor or no ballast resistor

Hey folks I’m sure this was covered at some point so I apologize up front. On a new build I used a new Mopar electronic ignition system wiring harness and a Rev-N-Nator box , dist. , and coil. Can I bypass the ballast resistor or do I need it. Box is 5 pin by the way. thanks folks
