@BeepBeepRR this is an old post but did this valve from summit plumb up just like the original factory configuration? Their instructions and customer service/tech assist responses are conflicting.

Same. Summer seems to be full of lawn, pool, and home improvement chores as well as other activities…not to mention it’s usually too damn hot to move LOL.

Slow going this year, but making some progress. Starting to reassemble the front suspension.

Maybe slightly thinner, but they were also shorter so they won’t work. Ordered a correct repro set today. Should’ve gone that way in the first place

Ordered some correct ones. The ones supplied with my rebuild kit didn’t work at all. Bushings were too wide to even fit in the mounting channel and the brackets were too shallow.

Crazy thing is they are both shaped identical and leaning forwards…not backwards, as you would expect if something was hit

My 71 RR’s original sway bar brackets both appear to have bend in them…not a clean u shape. The replacements that came with my front end kit are a clean U shape. Are my originals bent or were they supposed to be that way?

Just a warning. Classic Industries, and others, are selling this Cardone power steering gear as a direct replacement. It does NOT fit my 71 RR. The position of the spline that mates with the steering coupler is more than a half inch shorter than the original. It was visibly short when I took it...

That’s the part number someone else recommended too. I’ll give them a try.

I took a chance and ordered a Cardonne MN7500 rebuilt power steering gear assembly from Classic Industries. Price was right, so I thought, compared to rebuilding my own. The dimensions seem off. The location of the splined shaft that connects to the steering coupler is about an inch shorter...

Thanks for the help…I’ll keep you in mind. I’m not spending N.O.S. Money on this one though. Just going to be a cruiser and occasional driver.

I need to replace the old two piece rotors on my ‘71 Road Runner, factory front disc car. The spindles are good, so I’m trying to go back with a correct rotor that doesn’t involve different bearings/sleeves etc. Many places list rotors that fit but then I’ve heard of folks receiving a rotor...

Swapped parts, Satellites turned into fake Road Runners, refurbished original parts lacking detail etc…

Got the K frame cleaned up and took it to get blasted and powder coated. Tonight I pulled the spindles out of the degreaser soak. Big mess that was!
