Looked for suede paint for the dash on my 66 Coronet. Quoted $85.00 per pint!. Friend owner of body shop said to just use Krylon barbecue black paint. They've done some beautiful restorations. Took the cheap way out. Couldn't see any difference. Not concourse but works.

Thanks. The bolt and strap look to have been natural. Can you tell if the lid was natural or yellow zinc dichromate?. Maybe even silver zinc ? I wish I still had my 67 GTX. It was bronze with a black vinyl roof.

I'm sure this has been covered over and over. What finish was used on the cover ,strap and bolt on 67 master cylinders ? I've lost all my references for finishes used on fasteners and other parts. I've upgraded the original single pot on my 66 Coronet Thanks

Doorkicker, Got under the dash. I have the correct pushrod, a worn dust boot and the piston retainer. No spring or attaching disc. I have everything new but the disc. I have a trusted shop doing the changeover. No place at home. Have to get creative and rig something functional. Thanks again
