Has anyone sent Galen Govier at GTS, his company, requested information to get your fender tag decoded? Paid for it and have not received it in almost four months despite repeated phone calls.:angry9:

Yep, it took close to a year to get a car decoded and put into his registry, busy guy!
Dealing with GTS requires some patience.

Hmmmm, seems to me he shouldn't take full payment until the job is done. Just my $.02.

It took 13 months for mine. Patience required.

I figured it was a dead-end by month 6, stopped calling, and then the letter showed up.

FWIW They didn't cash the check until after the day they sent the letter. Which seems dumb because what if I had closed the account, they would be out the payment.

Funny you should say that because it reminds me that I was indeed getting upset because I wanted to close that account that that check was written from. I started to contact Diane basically saying WTF (she's nice I would never say that to her). I basically was pleading with her to just go ahead and cash the check and that I didn't really care when they did the work, even though I was 8 months waiting at that point. Finally got it done and I never did close that account...

My feeling exactly, except I gave Diane a credit card the day I called and ordered. I am so tired of calling her and getting more excuses. Here is the best part. The las time I called, she sent me a fax copy of the signed letter. It is done, put it in the mail. Galen signed it. I am ready to call the credit card company. Fair is fair, and this is lousy business. Heck if you look on the website, he even has a set charge for answering email questions. We here are doing something wrong with free advice we give each other, Just an added note. There is no problem like this when Jerry McNeish authenticates a Camaro or Jeff Dotterer, a Chevelle, or even many of the recognized experts in Corvettes. So what gives here?

I emailed a question to them explaining the situation I was in and asked if they could help. I wanted to know either "yes we can" or "sorry, but you're sol" before I wasted any money. That was over 2 years ago and never got a reply. If it was a hemi or a12, I'm sure he would have jumped right on that.

A miracle! Diane just called, gave me the tracking number and said the paperwork went out today. Either her ears were burning or she reads the forum!:hello2:
