removing control arms

i was wondering how you guys go about removing control arms. jack up and place jack stand under lower control arm. take nuts off control arm shaft. knock shaft out
 
You talking about just the lower control arms? You've about summed it up except they aren't that heavy so you wouldn't need a jack unless you are trying to do it as a unit with the spindle and UCA still attached. Then it could be a B!$ch.
 
I think he means the uppers,Yes put a stand under the lower arm to keep the T-bar in place.The only other thing is popping the ball joint free.
 
then you can't very well put the LCA on a jackstand. Go under the frame rail. you're gonna have to be near there to remove the T-bar clips anyway
