thanks for sharing both cars there very nice ,lets see more :headbang:

Sonny loves this '62 body style! the more I see them, well.......Virgil Exner, during the design of the 1961 models, Exner had a heart attack. He resumed work in 1957, working on the designs for the 1962 cars. On July 25, 1957, Exner was elected the first Vice President of Styling at Chrysler. Unfortunately, a rumor that GM was reducing the size of their cars caused the President of Chrysler, Lester Lum ("Tex") Colbert, to order Exner to do the same to his 1962 design — a change Exner disagreed with, thinking it would make his cars "ugly." Exner with his associates had completed work on the second full-sized finless Plymouth, this one for 1962, described as a strikingly attractive automobile. While he was still recovering from the heart attack, the 1962 models Exner took credit for were downsized by associates. This downsizing drastically changed the cars' appearance.......well? I like them! BTW: Exner later referred to the finless 1962 down-sized Plymouth and Dodge models as "plucked chickens "

Mine has been up before but just to bring it back as something different to see - and maybe to get some bites on a buyer...:)

Far Out! What kind of motor is in it when you got it?

P1010851.jpgI took a picture of this one at a car show. I have not seen too many with the chrome strip along the hood crease. Is that a certain model? I know it's a sport fury, but not all of them have that.

If you mean that Dart wagon its not mine. I just found the pic of it on the internet. I took this pic at the track a year or so ago of this really sweet 62. It ran mid 11's and still used the factory exh manifolds. Ron

I love it dvw - what a true sleeper!! My 4 door runs about the same - but it sounds the part. I'll bet that one really sneaks up on unsuspecting victims - especially doing it on those tires.. That is cool..

It's very sneaky and very quiet. Plans are to turn up the boost,10.30 or better this spring.
Doug

I bet it is. I'm surprised that it can hook up on those tires doing that kind of ET.. My 4 door car will run in the 10s at around 125mph but it plays the part too - complete with antenna whipping back and forth at idle :)

Now thats a cool wagon ! Ron

It may be 1 lb of boost away from blowing the tires off? We're leaving the line at 1 PSI. He has a digital boost controller and timing retard. So far it hasn't needed it.
