Opinions on this 69 Charger

Sharp looking car. I'll bet they are asking a strong price for it. I would check over the trunk area good - it doesn't look like a clean freshening up in there. Also I noticed the dash and VIN were painted, but a new dry transfer Chrysler emblem was not put on.

"no expenses spared restoration" and nothing underneath the car looks to have been touched?

Definitely a sharp car but really take a good look at the trunk, and the price could be a dealbreaker with the whole "no expenses spared" talk-up.

No expense spared !!!!!Alot of expenses were spared !!!!! It is a new paint job, rebuilt drivetrain car, thats about it.Wrong air cleaner,to paint over the dash like that and the vin tag ,WTF ?Underside is cruddy, trunk floor is gobbed over with seam sealer and new paint. You can see rust pitting in the valleys of the ribs.But,.....is a real triple black 69 R/T Charger with red stripe, and if correct,#'s matching is a hard find.NOTICE.......M91 Luggage rack NOT there. And it is NOT a tinted glass car,G11 is tinted glass. It is a cruise night/driver caliber car IMO, would top out as one said by $30k.And that's upon in person inspection.

x2 And I would strongly recommend some kind of test drive before buying since by the looks of things the suspension components also look untouched, which could mean a pretty crappy driving experience if everything is worn out.
First thing I did on my Charger was rebuild the front suspension. Bushings and balljoints don't last forever lol.

Thanks guys, you've given me pause for thought. Price is $48K.....

LOL way overpriced man. That could be a good price for that car if it had gone through a complete restoration but that's definitely not the case.

Judging by the reflection of the dude in the paint it's another stuffed-shirt car flipper that doesn't know $#!t about anything lol.

looks pretty but way over priced.as others have said, suspention looks untouched.just look at the pick showing the sway bar bushing.if the rest of it is in that condition you are going to need to rebuild the whole front end.

I would worry about the quarters, trunk, floors, cowl and whats under that vinal top. The chargers where bad to rust out around the back windows and down in the trunk area and around the wheel housing. I think on the Chargers the from drivers side always had problems with the water draining into the car. The drivers side grill is cracked.

The fender tag is not painted or looks to be not painted. I would worry that someone made a tag for it. The dash vin was painted and would give me pause as to weather or not if was on there originally.

I would send out someone to check it out really good who knows Mopars and is trust if you can't go and see it for yourself. 48K I would walk away. To me I wouldnt go over 18K on that car and I bet there is problems hidden in that paint.

It is a buyers maket right now a lot of high dollar cars that have been restored selling for less then 48K.

Its nice I was going to say $60,000.00 but I am down to $45,000.00. The more I looked at the pictures there was issues I didn't like, the underneath is the first thing that popped up to me. Every one has an opinion, my thoughts are if you can't live without it go for it. If I was you and wanted it I would buy it. The price will never be good for anyone else on here but it's going to be yours not there's. it's only money and I lost 2 high school classmates this week in the same week.

Don't know the auzzie market, but IMO that would be pretty overpriced around here. Like mentioned, nothing's done underneath, at all. Trunk is heavily coated in some sort of rust inhibitor over the top of who knows what, and then something sprayed here and there in other areas. Probably rubberized undercoating would be my guess. Paint actually doesn't even look that great. Looks like heavily wet sanded orange peel. With just seeing that, I would be real skeptical about the other craftsmanship and quality of work about the rest of the car. I'd pass.

I think it's way overpriced for "no expenses spared". I agree, rust reformer in the trunk and nothing done to the underside. Looks alot like mine when I bought mine back 12 years ago but paid $11k.

I get what you're saying and that life's too short, money is just money, but there's still no point in overpaying for what is obviously an overpriced car. And to say that the price would never be good enough for anyone on here I think is also incorrect. If it was a more reasonable price for what it is, I'm sure plenty of knowledgeable people on here would say so.

If he wants to pay 48k, then turn around and rebuild the front end (at the least) then I would say go for it. Otherwise my advice would be to keep looking and a better deal will surely come along. Just my two cents.
