What does everyone with a 318 poly run for spark plugs in their cars? I am waiting for a pertronix distributor to show up in the next few days and want to get a head start on the tune-up. I pulled the #1 spark plug and found it to be a NGK R5670-8

It states it's a non-resistor racing spark plug. The manual says to run a Champion J-14Y but of course they are not available at the local parts store. I did find a site that lists the comparable plugs to the Champion.

Just curious what people are running in their poly's with 4 barrel.

Thanks

Bill

Hi Bill i use the Champion j 14Y on my poly and i also have pertronics ,i gap the plug around 38-40 since there will be more spark with the pertronics,Cant understand why you would have a hard time finding them, they are such a common plug, hope this helps,PS ,i also Have a 4 barrel

Thanks Paul, yeah not sure why the local parts stores (Advanced, Autozone and O'reilly's) websites are not giving me a listing for it either. I guess I will need to actually go there and see what they stock.

The Mopar Perforamnce distributors by Mallory also fit on our Poly 318's.
