Hey everyone, Im new to this forum and restoring cars, this is a first for me I've worked on many stock cars before but I've never had to make something look pretty... I just bought a pretty rough 1971 Charger Super Bee and am planning on doing a completely custom, stock car styled build. I will be making custom floor, interior door panels, dash, front and rear firewalls all from tin and they will be left bare, so I am not too concerned about keeping any of those original pieces. The floor is honestly almost rusted out entirely, the frame has rust, and the rear quaters have rust in the wheel wells, but honestly almost everything else is straight and good.
Anyway.. Im just wondering how much damage will be done if i get the entire striped car sandblasted... Like will body weaken and twist, so, for example, the doors won't align? I really want to get it blasted down to see what I'm working with but I'm just scared of ruining the straight lines and fitments... Any comments on this?
Thanks
