I wonder if there is any way to approximate how many 65 belvedere 1 2dr sedans are left on the road. The only ones I can find for sale are either original over a hundred thousand dollar hemi cars ,high dollar 990 clones or hulks of a body. Steve

Kinda late to that party. There are a few out there, but everybody builds them the same.

I'm putting mine back to as delivered. 426S,4sp, no options baby blue. Front seat belts were required with 426. haven't decided if it will get a radio or not, as it always had one in it but build sheet isn't coded for it

Yes missile, seems like it. Streetwedge sounds like you have a neat car there. Mine is a 318 I have a blast with it. Mileage is great too!! Steve

No as there is no way to know how many are still in barns, garages or storage, and haven't been registered for years.

I've got one - not on the road though. Original 3 on the tree /6 225. It's in pieces in the garage, going through restoration. I plan on doing a 4spd 383 conversion, but have not crossed the point of no return yet - and still not 100% convinced that's what I'm going to do. I've never had old V8 Mopar power and would like to experience it. The 3 on the tree is a trip though.

Nice looking car Torqueflite.

Haven't driven a 3 on the tree since my dad's early seventy's Nova hatchback. fun ride though.

A good rule of thumb is 10-15% of total production of cars from 1955 - 1975 still exist, to include registered and titled cars. "ran when parked", and "barn finds". I read some insurance data a few years back that mentioned that; and no, I don't remember where that info specifically came from, nor do I have a link to that.

I have a repurposed 65 Belvedere 1; originally baby blue, slant 6, bench seat, column shift car out of Texas. Not registered, sitting in the garage but hopefully finished soon.

This is a shot of my 65 Belvedere 1 early in the project from March 2007. It took almost 4 years to complete into an A990 4 speed look alike. Right Side.jpg

Great posts guys. Drove mine again yesterday. A guy asked me if it was a falcon. LOL.
