Hey everyone, I've just joined because I came across this forum while doing some research on a car I just inherited. It is a 1964 Sport Fury that has been in my dad's garage since January of 1984 (4 months before I was born).

It doesn't have the engine in it, but I believe the original one is sitting on the floor next to the car (383 stamp numbers V38 - 6 17 - HP). There is also another 383 on an engine stand next to the car from 1970 that he made some unknown performance modifications to. It has Headers, an Edelbrock TM6, and the original (I think) Carter AFB.

The body is in pretty good shape with a few dings here and there and some scratches in the dark brown paint, some dents in the chrome which is also slightly pitted. The interior is in pretty great shape with exception of a little chrome pitting and a sticky center console latch. Excellent Upholstery kind of a copper color (my brother is getting my dad's other 64 sport fury, with a Street Wedge 426, painted the same color and has a bit darker interior, but still kinda copper)

I was hoping to get the fender tag decoded. Don't know if I should post that in a different area or not though. I know that it has a lot of upgrades like AC, 727 with the floor shifter (not push buttons), mirror adjuster inside, it has a large master cylinder compared to the one in the other car, but I don't know if that is aftermarket, but it doesn't look like the brakes were upgraded otherwise.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the car right now due to the mess around the garage for the estate sale going on.

Excited to be joining the community and to start learning about the next obsession that will likely last the rest of my life.

:welcome: aboard!

Post pictures when you get them.

You can post your fender tag in 1962 - 1965 Mopar forum or in the General Discussion forum and get help decoding it.

Two more 64s coming out of the woodworks...wow!

Welcome to the dark side!

Sounds like a great car to sink your teeth into. Lots of smart people on FBBO so you'll never feel stranded. Welcome to the site.

good luck with the 64 Fury build, it'd cool to get the old car for sure...
Have fun & Happy Moparing
