So that's what an original floor is suppose to look like . . . mine looked like Fred Flinstone would be happy to use them.

Great work so far - really enjoying the progress and the transformation ! ! Keep the posts coming . . .

Great job. I have a 62 Belvedere and don't think I have the stones to do the conversion. You do make it look easy.

Drivers side getting close

Skim coat put on and roughed out. Pretty smooth so far. Need to fix a dent along door line still.

Thanks everyone. Yep I want it to be just like factory. Have sourced up a decent 2dr seat also and saved the door panel cores from the sedan donor (need recovered)

It would be fun to get one side done, leave the Iither as a 4 door, & take it to a show. People would freak.

Did some more today. I had to fabricate a piece to fill a gap between rear of donor panel and door jam area of 4dr section. Pays to double check how much of donor car to cut so don't have to do this again. Trimmed donor panel and cleaned areas to weld, adjusted panel in hole to fit as close as possible then clamped in. Welded in post section to roof and welded inner panel in.
