I actually own an ex movie bike from the late 60's / early 70's.... they were way more about the ride back then...

C.C. and Company with Joe Namath and Ann Margaret. Another one of my fav motorcycle movies.
That was honestly by favorite movie growing up.

I had my responce all ready to post and somehow lost it???
When the Easy Rider movie first came out, several friends and I traveled 120 miles to see it. And I have watched it several times since then. We all believe that the bike shown traveling towards the ditch and crashing-after Fonda had been shot off of it, was not that Harley because it had shocks on the back with a tall sissy bar and seat. Most likely Japanese which were disposable.
The second part is my opinion. It could be true and then again it may not. If I were going to buy that bike, It would take more proof than that. Similar things has happened before. These days I believe about 1/2 of what I see and none of what I hear or read. ............................................MO

This shows you were absolutely right. When I get something in my mind that I think is correct, it is hard to get me to accept anything else. I prolly would have bet money on what I thought I remembered. After all these years, I should know better!! Maybe "old timers" is setting in! 8-) ........MO

....I was looking over this old thread this morning and suddenly felt compelled to give Dan Haggerty a shout out. I watched him as Grizzly Adams as a kid, and even remember seeing him once in Dallas in 1977-78. The guy was impossibly nice and patient with every kid who, at that time, should have been emulating Luke Skywalker or Han Solo.....but we all thought "Grizzly" was just that much cooler....
