Pulled out the old sweep instrument panel in exchange for an after market panel. Moved to a GPS speedometer as I was tired of messing with inaccuracy when changing diffs and tires. Equus does not make a GPS speedometer so it doesn't blend well. Was figuring to use a Equus bezel and face but the GPS unit I got was a totally sealed unit. I guess I will just have to wait until I find something more fitting or Equus brings out a matching unit. All lighting was LED.

I like it. Do you have pix of lights being on? How was doing the wiring?

Really looks great, would also like to see a picture of it lit up. Great job.

I like it also... Who makes that after-market panel? I wonder if you can mod the part with the 4 gauges to something else like a screen. Would be sweet with a modern engine in there.

i've seen these in the Classic Industries catalog. Looks nice but not my cup of tea.

Tried to take pixs when lighted but did not turn out clear however the instrument cluster lights up very well. Only problem I had was the GPS offered either yellow or orange backgrounds so I place a blue LED above the unit to cast light on it, as you can see. Now I need to shade the light so as not to allow light to shine forward. Placed another blue led next to the switches to light them up. The red led was my emergency brake indicator and the blue above it was for high beams. In a later post I will write about the wiring as I'm running out of time this evening. Sorry for the poor quality pixs.

how is the fitment of the new bezel? If i went custom wiring, i would have gone this route...

It fit very well. Wiring wasn't that difficult just had to insure that I verified the schematic to what was in place. Some color codes were incomplete or misleading. Tossed both switches in favor of standard push pull switches combined with a relay for the lights. Can't dim leds without special work so I didn't need a dimmer switch.

Several folks sell these units but I got mine from http://www.classicindustries.com/ around the end of the year when they had thier big sales. Quite frankly they are way too expensive but what you gonna do! I don't see how you can mod to use a screen but I don't have too much imagination. I think it would be a classic case of driving a square peg into a round hole.

Very cool I was looking at the Dakota digital setup I believe they had blue or green lights in there's but super expensive I think $750-$1100
