Hey all,
My dad and I have been looking for a Mopar for quite a while and stumbled upon a number matching 1971 340 4 speed road runner.

My dad worked with his dad (my grandpa) in his shop when he was younger and also owned a 1973 challenger that he got rid of.

My dad always dreamed of putting a 340 in his 318 car but was never allowed. Now, he finally has one.

I am a computer geek that fell in love with Mopars and this project is one to learn and honor my grandpa that I never got to know.

I don't have many pictures but the car came pretty complete. The car was gone through in '96 before we bought it. We've done gaskets, some electrical, brakes, and of course all the other little things that come with a project like this :).

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal

good luck with the 71 RR & Happy Moparing

++++ Welcome. I sense more questions in the future.

a 71 340 4 spd runner is a pretty rare bird
what options did the car come with?
sometimes they have some interesting ones
as a 340 had to be ordered in those cars

Excellent! I dated a girl in the late 70's, who had an identical car.

Welcome, looks like a great father/son project. Have fun. Always liked working with my dad.

is the 4 spd original?
it would be unusual to have both ac and a manual trans together.
now this car is interesting...
see what i said before about them..LOL

its a very rare car with those options,
i would doubt they made many like it.
i have a 71 340 gk6 4 spd runner pw car
