Hello All,

This is a very cool and active forum from what I can tell so far. Hope to gain knowledge and enjoy the company of others and their mopars!

So last year I was bored with no new projects or hobbies to entertain myself. I decided to be impulsive and bought this 64 belvedere about 85 miles from my house.

Used my neighbor's truck and his flat bed and hauled it back.

Once I got it back into my drive way, I was just saying to myself, what did I just get myself into! Haha!

Now I am deciding on what to do to make it fun. It has a poly 318 with push start automatic. Minimal rust. Has that nice stance. Old primer paint. Everything is pretty much unmolested besides the upholstery.

I really want to cruise in it and take it out often to grocery store, weekends, days off, etc. Then there is me saying that I should put a big engine in it and burn some rubber.

Just wanted to share my project to you guys and bounce some ideas off as well. I am happy to hear some suggestions!
Thanks for looking!

Hahaha, Its a Beaut! I feel the same: it looks badass sitting there and like it is begging for a big block. But if the 318 is running good then you could mod on it some. Ive seen a 318 in a 72 Satellite do 137 mph. It definitely isn't a pushover... Get some mufflers on to get a good rumble etc. Its definitely already at a good start. My dads 71 Charget has a 318 in it with flowmasters and it sounds Badass, if it were one of my other mopars id go into the 318 and get some horsepower out of it. Great Car: i always loved the window and roof lines on these... Welcome to FBBO Friend, Thumbs Up!

Welcome from NW CT. Thanks for posting pics right away - you avoided a whole lot of relentless commentary from the hard-core regulars! Nice ride - do whatever makes you smile with it!

Welcome to FBBO and early B bodies. Sweet 64! All it takes is time and money and if you have enough money time is no problem.

Welcome to FBBO from SoCal. Thx for the pics - looks like a sweet ride. Enjoy!

Love the 64 body style....Congrats

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome aboard from SW CT! Sweet looking ride!

Welcome!

You have a nice project there:thumbsup: Shouldn't take a whole lot to make her road worthy, then tinker with it as you go.

Welcome to the site. That is a good looking rig. The 64s are a timeless classic.
318 Poly is actually a decent mill. If it runs well, why not drive it and tinker with other things? There are plenty of smart and helpful members here willing to help.
Good luck with the car and welcome to the oddball world of Mopars!

sounds like the 318 is a winner.
Thanks for welcoming me in guys.

Oh I am located in bay area, california.

Oakland...
I hope you are safe over there. I work in Woodland and it has been windy for a week. The fires are just insane ! I recall in 1989 when Oakland Hills had those fires, that was some scary ****.

:thumbsup:Welcome to the site. Love your new ride! I would keep it as original as possible. Spruce up that 318 and you'll have no problems.:confederateflag:
