Are these bent?? Or is this normal?? 80161D98-E080-4780-8CD2-504A2FCAE497.jpeg

That picture makes it look bent. They were roughly cast, but I would not have thought that rough.

That’s the way they look. I was told this car was drag raced pretty much all 13K on the speedo. Would slight wheel stands make that happen??

Trying to decide if I need to replace them.

Wheel stands, front end hit. Who knows. I don't remeber ever seeing these looking like this normally.

Is the KFrame okay?

Bent....

Remove the bushings and washers and roll on a level surface

Thanks I thought so. No major damage on K frame some small nicks.

I’m in the market for strut rods now!!

I used to part cars in the mid 70's and found a few that looked like that and didn't see any other damage on the car. The rest of the front end parts looked good and had no signs of hits. You could make a strut rod look like a pretzel and it would work so long as it was the right length.....

I have seen them bent from using the rod to pull out a car or tying the car down on a trailer.

You gotta do a pretty hard tie down to bend one unless you're in the middle of it. I've pulled a few 'junkers' out of fields and some were stuck pretty bad. If they were already sinking into the earth and all the tires were flat, it was easier to get a hold of the strut rod than it was to try and get under the car and hook to the K frame.....and well, I never bent one like what the pic shows in post #1. Actually, don't recall ever bending one doing that.....and the one in the first post looks to me like it was made that way.
