My old el-cheapo ones have just about crapped out & it's time to get a new pair. Any advice for who makes a decent one?

Vise grip makes a decent set of bent nose pliers that I use for hose clamps

Napa has them with lifetime warranty, they work great with the ratcheting. KD brand.

I took a pair of long needle-nose pliers and modified them by grinding grooves into them....

I bought some vintage Ideal Corporation pliers like the ones in the video with the lock.

I bought the one that look like regular pliers. I like that one with the lock ring though. I'll have to search for one of those.
The vintage ones you bought have a lock also. I have had mine for a long time and still work perfect, I really like the fact that they will fit different thicknesses with the swivel option.

I bought some from Advance Auto that have a fixed "bucket" on one side and a rotating slotted bucket on the other.

$10 and they work very well, although they seem to defy physics in the process.
