I have no history on my 68 Charger. It was a lot car, but no idea of which dealership, etc. The VIN is XP29G8B438427. I do have the fender tag, but that's it.
Thanks,
Tim

Here is a picture of the fender tag. I'm curious if the bumblebee stripe was available on base models as an option or only as an R/T. I'm not looking to do a 100 point restoration as the original engine is long gone, but something believable. Any insights and help is appreciated.Unfortunately without more documentation, it is hard to tell anything from the fender tag other than the build date, options, etc. Now that isn't saying you can't conclude to some things being a Hamtramck car on what or what would not be on the car. If you post the fender tag, some will probably be able to tell you some odd things that some plants did and at what dates they started or stopped doing certain things on the cars. (ie. early build vs. late build cars)
Thanks for the info. I was not reading the U B S codes correctly...Bumble bee stripe was only available on the RT models with the ONLY exception being the 68 Bengal Chargers.
Your car did not have the stripe.
The picture isn't the best, the stamp is 628.Car was built on C28? (December)
