Hello,
I'm 18 years old from the Mississippi, and I recently purchased my first Mopar hot rod. A 1966 Coronet 500. Car has a big block stroker and is a lot of fun. I've always been a Mopar fan. Very excited to finally have my own and join in this forum!

Welcome to the forum....

Love the look of your ride!

Cool car.....

Welcome from Chicago, when I was 18, I got in too much trouble with that much horsepower! Now I sound like an old man, but I'll say it anyway...be careful!

Welcome, what’s the details on the engine?
Its a 440 Block with a stroker kit from 440 Source. Bored 30 over. I want to say total displacement comes out around 505 ci. Weiand High Rise tunnel ram. Dual Holley 600 carbs. Mopar Purple Grind 509 camshaft. 10.5:1 Compression. Hooker headers.

Its not plexiglass. Its just a big piece of perforated sheet metal the previous owner put on when he cut a hole in the hood. Luckily unhacked hood came with car if I ever want to go back to like a standard dual plane type intake.

My nickname in high school was the coronet kid.
Welcome to the forum.

That's even more wierd.

Certainly does seem like an odd way to treat a hood but that's why we are individuals with choices. Anyway, from the Pacific Northwest, welcome to the FBBO. You are off to a great start with your Coronet.:moparsmiley:

Nice! When I was 18 I drove a slant six scamp. Yours is more what I would have preferred.

Yes sir. I spent a long time looking around to try to find a deal. I was really just looking for anything with a 340 or better. Very happy I came across this car. A lot more car than I was expecting to find.

Hello from Oxford, GA and welcome to the forum. I agree with NorthOfForty. For a first Mopar, that's a most excellent ride.
