The builder I wanted is no longer available.
Using my aluminum Edelbrock 6bbl intake and Holley carbs is non-negotiable, it is a must! Ok to mod intake and carbs. Not opposed to a small nitrous shot, but not sure if a plate system is available, but I'd be ok with a "Y nozzle" system on my intake.
Pump gas (92 octane) friendly. If I can "turn it up" when I run race gas (109 octane) that is a plus.
Looking for 6xx HP and 6xx TQ.
Car driven to car shows and up and down the Gulf coast, with stop and go traffic the whole week of Crusin the Coast. Track nights for tuning, fun, improving my skills and grudge racing.
I would prefer hydraulic lifters.
I have a Passon 855 5 speed and 4.10 Dana 60. Stock suspension for now, but Street Lynx 4-link is on the "list".
1970 Roadrunner.
Thanks to all who reply. I'd like to only build this motor once.

If built rite they will make that kind of power all day without any spray. I have non stroked 440 that dynoed 552 hp on pump gas, car runs 11.40 thru the mufflers. 3400# 67 b body. I have a good friend with a stroker and it did 640 hp and is actually a nicer driving car on the street than mine!

Never dyno'd mine, but it went 11.07 with a stock 6-pak intake and carbs in my '69 RR. I used Stealth CNC heads and a .575" solid (street) roller from Comp Cams. It's 11.5:1, and i run pump gas all the time. I put race gas in to hammer it. It sees tons of street miles, and has only been to the track once or twice. It is a 440 Source 498" out of a 440 block. I had a local buddy build mine. He takes the parts to the machine shop to have the valve job touched up and to check the balance job from the factory. Not being from your area, I wouldn't know who to suggest. You may want to ask your Mopar buddies from there to suggest a builder.

OK, so what's the problem here ? I don't understand.
Pump Gas small Stroker(493 to 505), pretty much any Aluminum Head Ported or CNC for around 300+ cfm @.600", HR Cam, and your Six Pack setup ?
Built for 600+ Pwr & Trq on Pump Gas.
Why do you want the Nitrous ? for EXTRA Pwr above the 600+ ?

About the only"hard" part would be if you wanted that 600+ using Factory HP Exhaust Manifolds ?
But using Headers it only requires some pretty easy Cam R&D after the Final Head prep & Flow. Other than that, what you seek is a fairly straight forward build and well within feasibility for many Builders without much difficulty ?
As always, just get whoever to Dyno it before it leaves as always some Tuning/Monkey'ing around to do with Six-Packs.
LOTS of good builders, call one up.
Jim LaRoy, Dwayne Porter, Best Machine, .... the list could go on and on

There is a local guy I trust, he built my wife's 421, BUT no dyno and no carb tuning experience. I want a builder who specializes in MOPAR and can mod/tune my carbs, put it on a dyno, tune for best performance, crate it and ship it back-ready to GO.

One of those guys is not taking new builds
:-(
I chose him a few months ago and got the bad news-although I understand, at that age, there is family and other priorities. I removed his name from the quote from you.

That is what it would be for. I may never need or want it, but I may. The problem (in my mind) is if I am at 6xx HP and 6xx TQ, spray is going to push me into dangerous territory with a stock block. It's likely I will go without, saving the need for an aftermarket block. Looks like 6xx HP and 6xx TQ is all I'll ever need or want.
Thanks for the replies!!
the list could go on and on...
Any more builder suggestions, specifically experienced with the 6bbl??

THAT is a GREAT link rumblefish!
EXACTLY what I like to see!
My 70 Roadrunner is a non-numbers matching REAL V-CODE car. All the stamped body panel/radiator support numbers and VIN match. I am very happy it is a real V-Code, and happy it is NOT an original #s matching car, mainly because I was able to afford it. They were "asking" $59k but I got it for $4X,000. Non-numbers also gives me free reign to do what I want to to make it like I want it to be.
Because it's a V-Code, and 6bbls are way cool, that's why it HAS TO be a 6bbl setup.
I have read a number of dyno reports that read similar to that report. The 6bbl is "in the ballpark" of many other intake/carb setups horsepower, very impressive where TORQUE is concerned, and torque is what I will use and enjoy the most.
I will contact Hughes and see what they can do for me. Any worries about working with them? I kinda have my heart set on Trick TrickFlow 240s.

Best Machine does a great job.. Koffels Place does also, some guys have a problem with Koffels they have built numerous motors for me and have all been top notch. I have friends that use Best though and no complaints there either. I know Koffels has done a pile of Mopars in the last 30 years though! I personally wouldn’t waste time or money on the nitrous just me though!

I am leaning that way as well. Too much additional expense because of the "tipping point" that nitrous would push me past.
Thanks.

Once you’ve dropped the trans brake button on a Nitrous car you’re hooked lol
Passon 5 speed....I like to row the gears. It's fun, and "old school". Besides, that pistol grip shifter is classic MOPAR. The .70 5th gear gave me latitude to enjoy a 4.10 swap from my 3.54 and still save appx 700 RPM in top gear over my 4 speed with the 3.54. I drive my car although I have a trailer for long trips or when I'm more likely to break something-like track days.
I missed out on the nitrous setup made for the 6bbl. I would still consider one of those plate kits if I can find one in good shape or have one made, but WAY too many other items ahead of that on the "list".

I can put you in touch with an engine builder based out of california that can build what you are looking for, dyno it, shrink wrap it and send it to you. He does all of my machine work and his daughter does my heads. They used to run Mopars engines west but have retired and do this out of their personal shops.

Be advised that this one off personal attention from any shop is not cheap nor budget friendly.

Thanks. Your inbox is full. I have a couple of options for builders, some mentioned earlier, but I would welcome another option. Please provide the contact info here or in a "conversation" p.m. Thanks!

I did this one two years ago with the 240cc trick flows and a big Hydraulic roller cam. It made 680 on the first pull and had a near flat 700ft/lb torque curve. You really don’t need the spray.

Thanks!!! So you got that crazy Weiand intake to work well obviously. I will be using the aluminum Edelbrock/Chrysler intake I have in use now. That will keep the height and alignment compatible with the N96 air grabber system I have put into play.
Hydraulic roller too!!
Man-you are really pumping up my expectations!
Who did your build??!!

I did, lol. I built it for a local guy. It’s in an A-body and runs mid 10’s on pump gas.

I talked with Ritchie at Carolina Machine Engines today. He indicated that they have done 522 cu in builds that should be right on and around 10k. 90 day warranty as well.
When my money is right, I will revisit and make a move. Thanks again to all!

I cleared my inbox but if you are balking at 10k from Ritchie when its probably 8500 just in hard parts, then we should reconsider my machinist.
