I did it today and it was sooo fun. The karts were fast actually above my skill level. My son does this a lot and saw this video. He said any tire squealing is wasted energy. The karts have 3 forward gears which can be shifted up or down. I had them put me on auto since it was my first time. I had met the owner before. He had two prosthetic legs and looked the right age to be a Gulf War vet. i didn't ask. It's right next to our new Bass Pro Shops if you come this way.

I enjoyed karting. Did a lot of it when I was a teenager. Unfortunately, they're doing away with the Briggs flat top in racing. Have to go with the Honda, or similar engine

There's nothing "unfortunate" about that. Compared to the Honda the Briggs is a piece of ****. Even the newer OHV Briggs are not up to par with the Hondas. In 4-stroke race karts a Honda would give you at least a full season of use requiring only oil changes and valve springs (at $5 a set!)

But getting back to the OP, kart racing is an absolute blast. I wish more of these kids that race around in their ricers would try karting, it would probably make the streets a lot safer not to mention quieter !!

To indoor tracks in Lee's Summit MO.

They have or had anyway a few indoor tracks here too
Santa Rosa, Fairfield & Sacramento all had them
been to the one in Sac K1, with the families, little kids
they loved it...

I’d like to come BACK to Colorado Springs to LIVE again. Been in CA too long - I’m trapped because of the in laws being here. Kart trac or not - great place to live
