Rechroming 1967 GTX bumpers

I hope they do a good job had mine done in NJ along with other things and I do not like anybody in Jersey

My problem is that I added a couple of inches to the middle and I cant find a shop that will do the work.
I took mine to a local chrome shop,he took them in the back and came back he said they don't fit in his tank.:(

I asked if they fit what would you charge,,,,,told mr $750 each:wtf:

Evidently, this is the place I thought was Keystone auto body supply , now owned by another company. They must have a deal worked out with Northstar. Brainard is not a very big city to have two chrome platers. They do very good work at a very good price. Not paying shipping either way is a big plus in my book..................................MO

I sent them a note, thanks.

I'm very happy with the painted glass bumpers and my 5.7 HEMI grille!

Here in LA I used the Bumper Connection - $350 a bumper IIRC. Also had them do my tailpipes for $50 each. I believe they’re in Santa Fe Springs. They picked up and returned. I’m happy with their work.

Yep. All these prices have got me leaning so far to dechroming mine and painting them B5 like the rest of my car. The Chrome Guy in Baton Rouge,La says 600 a piece is his starting price. That's 1200 bucks. (See my amazing math skills). I could damn near go EFI for that.

Chroming is an expensive business to run , as chemicals must be changed out regularly and disposal cost are not cheap. Vats need to be cleaned on a scheduled basis or you get crappy results. I have known guys who got into it only to shut down a year later due to overhead costs mentioned above. That is largely why prices are where they are...and a lot of production chroming is done overseas.

Pays to shop around . There is a bumper repair and chroming in Mn. that will do a nice job for under $800 for both bumpers. And they will pick-up and deliver to your local body shop........................MO
