Anyone know what thread size/type of the inlet pressure side of the steering box uses ? I think its 1/4 sae straight cut fitting but I need to be sure so I can get the right fitting to attach it to a AN -6 female fitting. I think this is what I need but Id like to get confirmation.

I'm going to be using braided hoses to go to a gen 3 hemi with a heidts ps-101 adjustable pressure valve inline

Thanks, Robert

Try Part# EAR-985065ERL at Summit racing It is a -6AN to -5an o ring fitting Straight thread 1/2-20 thread. Hope this helps.

I think this is the Earls 961947ERL fitting I used to go from stock steering box to -6 male AN. I did enlarge the hole on the threaded end to the same depth as the stock fitting for the spring to sit into the new fitting. I'm not sure if it was needed, but figured I would keep the spring tension the same.

I don't see any spring under the fitting in the photos in the service manual ?
or did you thread the outlet on the control valve body to accept the fitting you mentioned ?

This car had so many small missing parts ( like the lock clips for the torsion bars for instance)
I want to make sure I get this sorted out correctly
