Im trying to make some power steering hoses for my hydroboost set up. Can i use an fittings on non braided high pressure hose. It seems to fit together well. I was told today that fitting need the steel braid to stay on. This doesnt sound right to me.

Only on the return side. The high pressure side will blow the hoses off.

The pressure side can run anywhere between 800 and 1300 psi!
I had a shop crimp my lines after I mocked them up.
Of course, my attempt at hydroboost was a dismal failure for reasons I'm still not sure of. I either had a defective HB unit or I just couldn't get the system to bleed properly.

Thanks for the info, i see earls makes a nylon braided power steering hose. Ill check with earls and see if its compatible with the fittings i have. My hydroboost has been sitting for a while so im sure getting it operational will be a chore.
