This is an example of how crazy the prices are getting around my area for old Mopars. The funny thing is that I recall someone posting this same car on here a couple months ago when it was $5000 less. Even then, everyone told the guy it was worth nowhere near the asking price BUT since then, someone has bought it and now trying to flip it. Check it out....

They’re asking $20k and you think that’s way to high? Seems cheap to me

And that's $20K Canuck Dollars... 15K US doesn't buy much these days.

Wonder how the frame is...

Well I could be wrong.... but with a quarter panel missing, fender and hood that look like they took a beating, and just a 383 car, I thought it was high. But maybe I'm out of touch. Guess I have seen nicer projects for cheaper....

Simply put Mopar_Chuck, the 1970 Superbee's are a "Rare Bird" ...er, car....
(Sorry Plymouth guys, Bird is a Plymouth moniker, not Dodge...)
That car does have many desirable features..
1. Color Code FC7
2. Pistol grip
3. Post Car (Like mine)
4. Non vinyl roof (Some like, some do not)
YES, it needs "Panel/Body" work.
I'd take it....

Im from this area of the country also and have been watching this ad for a few months. When i called about it a couple of months ago he wanted 20k. If it is as advertised you could have a really nice car for about 10k in repairs. My opinion is you would still be about 10k under market price and 30k under build cost depending upon what you start with. If I didn’t already have a project on the go I would buy it and flip it.

Looks like I should have put a question mark on my thread title... does anyone know if they make quarter panels and fenders for it?

That’s what I thought. Was the same for my 70 RR

Hi Mopar_chuck!
You thinking about buying it?
Desireable car in my opinion!
Done right, the Car is worth $30K to $40K ...depending on Locale, original drive train, and current climate.
Is it worth more?
well, yes in my eyes as I love the 70 superb/ Coronet R/T
Many "do not like" the front end...which equated to lower than previous years sales.
That is essentially what makes them, to me, more desirable...
Keep us posted...and yes, that is not a "weekend" project..the rear quarter panel replacement...

***BTW: AMD (Auto Metal Direct) does NOT produce that Rear Quarter Panel. (Currently)

He is trying to sell that car since last summer. He is really good with rattle can paint and undercoating so be careful. Last, that car need way more parts to be roadworthy.

Is it worth 20 k, maybe...

Btw, first time advertised, was saying only small cosmetic damage to the front end.

Need at least a windshield, right front bumper and grille, hood, repair to left 1/4 panel, right 1\4 panel, paint. IT add up quickly...

As an aside,
In 1980 or thereabouts I was rockin' my 1979 Aspen R/T e58 Police 360. Ordered it. Anyway I saw someone I knew with a 70 Plum Crazy Super Bee in his driveway. Keep in mind this is 1980 and in 78 I bought my clean 71 Charger R/T with 54k miles for $1,750...
Anyway the Bee was a V-code 440+6 with the pistol grip 4 speed and bench seat, Ramcharger air system. Basically the SuperBee version of my 70 V-Code Roadrunner. I offered to trade him for my Aspen R/T. I didn't pursue the deal, and I don't know what happened to the Bee.
I'll tell you all that when I started looking for a car I was focused on the 69, 70, 68 Coronet in a Bee or R/T trim. Then I saw a 70 440 Roadrunner and my aim changed.
I am VERY happy I wound up with my V-code 70 Roadrunner, but a yellow w/black vinyl roof 69 or 70 Coronet R/T or Bee with a 440+6 would be great, and my 2nd favorite color has become Plum Crazy/InViolet, surpassing B5 Blue.
Carry on...

That's a really cool car and AWESOME color. I wish! love 383 4 speeds.
That said (judging by the rusty wheel house) I am sure it needs floors, rails, everything! why did this restoration stall?
maybe still worth it (to rich for my blood) but there is a *** for every seat.
I have seen way worse for more money!
Remember this.......its so rusted that it is sagging.

rust is in..PNG

I actually do like the front end of the 70 bee the most. It has the ultimate “angry” look to it. I would love to buy it but being right in the middle of the RR resto, it’s out of the question at this point.

Yes you are right. A few years back, my dad and I made the 8 hour round trip to look at a charger he had for sale. When we got there, there was no charger in sight. He said that it was in his buddy’s garage and his buddy was suddenly away that day and he had no way to show us the car. He tried to sell us a blown Hemi race engine but we didn’t bite. I suspect this car would need a lot more judging by my previous experience with him.
