I'm planning to convert my 1973 RL21 to power rear windows.

I bought a set of roll down windows which I thought were going to be complete, but just realized there are no tracks.

I just got a 71 RP23 parts car

Are 71 tracks the same?

@Nacho-RT74 ?

I believe just the glass/frame were different
the rest should work.
another difference is
the rollers on the 71-2 regulators are square
73 up were round

I'm pretty sure ( without facts ) regulators even not the same due the slider/roller diff, should interchange even more between Plymouths with same quarter glass opening height The vertical track/channel should be diff thought due the diff quarter glass opening height on Chargers.

So you could be opened also to 73/74 Chargers roll down glass setup on your search ( if somebody list some just to Charger )

I have tracks from a 71 dodge and Plymouth and they are identical
don't forget the height can be adjusted on the bottom of the rail to the mounting bracket.

Edited a bit the post while you quoted me.

Yes maybe but can't recall how much can be adjusted the track. The diff opening height could be around 2 inches or more for the top of track location. Now, what takes this diff height? Track or maybe top bracket?

Thinking further more... would Chrysler make a diff B body regulator amd track between 71 Dodge and Plymouth? If not, then a 73 Charger will fit the same on a 71 Charger, being 71 Plymouth quarter glass opening is the same than 73/74 Charger. Cheaper just make a top bracket change than the vertical track change

( JUST EDITED )

Thanks guys.

Turns out I do have most of the 73 setup and while quite different, it looks like the whole assembly and maybe even the glass and carrier could swap between the 71 and the 73.

I'm pretty sure as full assembly will interchange without problems. Just like try to fit maybe the bumper... even being not sure IF all 71/74 Plymouths rear bumpers interchange, but if you want the71 tail lights on a 73, will need the 71 bumper to fit thm on a 73. Or trunk lid, which changes the key cylinder hole, so will need the trunk lid year cylinder and not anymore the car year cylinder.

If you install a 73 quarter glass on a 71, you won't need the pot metal frame 71s I think uses and if breaks won't request a 71 glass but 73 ( or maybe 72s which are already a full glass assembly instead the frame like Chargers did ? ). So use the matching assembly year.

Quarter glass opening could be bigger on 71/72s than 73/74 around the "boomerang" corner going more to rear than the vertical shape on 73/74? Dunno but if you have the glases, lay one over the other to confirm will fill the quarter glass opening.

Need to know I NEVER have compaired 71/72 vs 73/74 compatibility nor Plymouths or Chargers on quarter glass assembly, but just talking from what it could be thinking the inner quarter panel frame shouldn't be way diff on attaching points stampings, but just matching and accepting the outer shell changes.
