This thread is not to thrash a vendor, but rather to see if others have the same issue, and hopefully to prevent someone else from having the same problem.

We had a pair of 8 3//4" Yukon Axles in our '69 Road Runner. Two weeks ago my son broke one in half at the starting line. When removed, the non-broken axle was twisted at the spline pretty badly. This car runs mid-to-low 11's on M & H street tires. May have 30 passes and lots of street miles on them.

As a comparison, our '63 Plymouth N/SS car has Moser 8 3/4" axles. They have hundreds of passes with no sign of twist. Car is 100 lbs lighter than the road runner and runs high tens. Both axles are 30 spline.

If you're running Yukon, it may be worthwhile to pull the axles and take a look at the splines.

I installed Yukon axles in the 69 roadrunner but its no drag car by any stretch. Plus its a peg legger at the moment until I rebuild the sure grip.

I don't know for sure but I have heard some of their stuff is made in china

I run them in my street cars. Blown Volare sb (11.0@3875) and Challenger sb 4 seed (12.50#3750). No problem on either car. Doug

Frustration, Are you running a spool ?

I never once considered a Yukon axle a performance axle. Just a good, solid street replacement part.
I ran Strange axles in an 8.5 in my 505 powered 81 Malibu for twenty years and at least two hundred 9 second passes.
