The warm temps and rain on Monday & Tuesday washed away the 7" of snow we got last week. Now this....

Similar here, we had well over a foot and then Sunday to Monday was 9C and pouring rain for a good 18 hours. Now -10C and all White again and under a squall warning off the lake. But now of course everywhere I push the snow back onto the lawn is like quicksand under the snow. Hoping for some -20C to freeze that up, but doesn't look like we'll get it anytime soon.

Y'all can have all the snow you can handle. No thanks...If it snowed here on a regular basis, I'd have to work from home.
My favorite weather in the deep South are blue sky dry and cool days, which we get between fall and spring.
We also get rain, gray skies, high humidity, and temps in the 40s all at the same time, and that damp cold cuts through me.
Top it off with high clay content in my yard, short daylight and limited heating, and the yard becomes a quagmire.
But no snow, and those crystal blue dry cool days are glorious!

I have to bow down to the guys who work up north, say 6am to 3pm, and have to go to work through the snow, in a cold, concrete and steel decades old factory, or any outside work.
For my part, doing work as a deckhand in the summer, delivering beer, digging trenches to bury PVC pipe for cable TV, and up and down ladders, crawling through fiberglass filled attics in the summer...that's the pain that comes with the heat and humidity of life in the South, and unlike dressing for cold weather, I can only take off so much clothing before the police and orderlies come take me away...

Don't worry its on its way to you guy's in Ontario! all the way from chilly Manitoba! We've had -30 temperatures all week so far with - 39 windchills too boot! Be careful what you wish for my friend lol

Well, at east you northern guys have 4 seasons. Around here, fall is a thing of the past.

Don't see how you guys stand it. It was 21 when I got up this morning, and that's cold to me.

Bring it on... I prefer -25/30C to this wet arthritic crippling ****. I have no issues going out and doing this in -35C weather.. but hate this near zeroC crap!

been the same here
rain off & on for the last week or so
proceeded by a couple weeks of record snow

we need the rain (& snow), but it gets old fast
so does the snow & ice too, shoveling clearing repairing
or power outages, mainly because of trees falling etc. etc. etc.

but it's better up here
than living down in the near sea-level shitholes-inner-shitty's
so I cope as well as I can :poke:100-150 miles + away from
all 'that ****'
