Residents threaten, throw shovels at snow plow drivers

My experience has been, if you can get out there before your street is plowed, is to clean the snow off "down stream" from your driveway. That will give the snow being plowed a chance to dump out from the blade before it gets to your driveway. Works most of the time or at least there won't be as much spilled out in your drive.

On the street I'm living, the Borough's trucks will fly by shooting snow clear over the grass strip that's between the sidewalk and road filling in the sidewalk that I've already cleaned. That does piss me off. I'll watch for them and when I see them I'll stand outside where they can see me. They slow down and the plowed snow just dumps out onto the grass strip without going into the sidewalk.

Across the street there's a parking lot and the guys that are doing the plowing were pushing their snow across the street and piling it up next to my driveway. Then when the Borough comes through, they get into that snow pile and put it right in front of my driveway. I had a little talk with them :D

The cool thing about living in town is that most neighbors help each other out when it comes to snow removal. The last snow we had, I came home from work and everything was done! I saw my neighbor later and thanked him. They did it all by hand and told me they couldn't get their blower started. I went right back to their house and got it running for them. "How much do I owe you?" my neighbor said. I replied with, "You got to be kidding, we're even!" :)

You are a good man KK. With good neighbors .
Do you have those people that shovel out their car that is sitting on the street then sit lawn chairs, trash cans etc. in the spot when they leave?
