Hey everyone.
I am looking to install a windshield on my 70 Plymouth Belvedere. But before that I have to weld some of the rusty wholes. Beside those rusty ones there are three manufacture holes on the bottom of the windshield frame. One on the right, one in the center and one on the left. What are they for, do I have to keep them, or they can be welded was well?
Thanks for your advice.

There used to be tabs there to hold the windshield gasket while you installed the glass. Must be rusted off.

you are right i forgot that a small tab was there for the gasket also. you will need them to align the bottom of the gasket.

Ouch. Sounds bad. So it is better to weld something similar at the place where hey have been I guess?

I can get you pics of what it is supposed to look like in a few hours when I get home from work If you'd like from my 68 Runner. I have a super clean zero rust resto goin right now.
