Al Kaline won't be down...

I remember Al when the tigers played the twins back in the day. RIP Al

RIP Mr Kaline, I used to go see Al play at Tigers Stadium growing up. Hell of a ball player and a true gentlemen! 440'

I'm not a huge sports freak, but, I've always collected baseball cards and I do know what a great player and gentlemen he was. He was a plus to the game, RIP!!

They dont make them like Al anymore. I had a Al Kaline bat when I was young.
Yes sir, me too. The name on the bat made me look him up (in those days, google was the school library).
Sure, had his card every year too, but only got to see him play on TV during an all star game or once even
in the World Series.
Other than sporadic news reels we kids got to watch in class once in a while, that was it - but he was still
a favorite of mine, along with folks like Boog Powell and Brooks Robinson of the Orioles, Bob Gibson, etc. -
and our only two good players for the Braves, Hank Aaron and Phil Niekro.

RIP sir, grew up in the Detroit area and saw him at many a game, and watched him for years . . . he will be missed . . .

One of the greatest! Sportsmanship like no other and a very humble individual. RIP Al....

One of the greats for sure! Rest In Peace!

One of the all time greats in right field. Right field in Detroit is called "Kaline's Corner". Great guy. He was the first Tiger offered a hundred thousand dollar contract. He turned it down. He said he didn't deserve it because he only hit .278 with 21 homers the year before.
