Amazing how many tips & tricks I've tried over years to get a truly 'clean' windshield. Has anyone found the magical solution? Ya know, ability to look thru the windshield toward the morning sun and not see streaks and haze?
The old timers would use 0000 steel wool and rubbing alcohol. Scrub and scrub.
Then take newspaper and a mist of warm water and scrub. Follow up with car wax and lots of buffing.
I have found that Griots Garage glass polish works great. It might take 3, or 4 applications, but the results are fantastic and ling lasting.
I washed some house windows yesterday. The cotton cloth was full of lint as was the paper towel. Newspaper for the win!fine steel wool for bugs and overspray......... followed by windex with NEWSPAPER!

I have found newspaper with color ink does not work as well as plain black&white newspaper.
The fake news works better than the non-fake news? Maybe this has been my problem...I never use the comics.......only the fake news section!
I also throw in a shot or 2 of rubbing alcohol which helps with evaporation and leaves streak free glass. Good LuckA solution of Vinegar water then use a proper chamois to rinse/dry it off.
