I can take some pic's also and measurements if you like.

Not sure if this is from a 69 or 70 but I used it as a guideline. Just to be sure, you should line up your buddy seat with your buckets too. View attachment 270003

So I would use a level to help locate the front bracket at 10 15/16 from front floor pan seam. Tack that in place. then I had the rear bracket on the buddy seat and bolted it to the front bracket to locate it to tack the rear bracket on. My car originally had the buddy seat but someone removed it through the years. The welds were still there so I knew where to put it back to. Hope this helps. Just make sure you can unbolt then get it bolted back in after welding.

obvious by the pic's all spot on. I will mention in the car the back of the buddy seat should line up very close to the backs of the bucket seat frame (not the front). approximately 5.5" spacing on each side of the buckets too.

Thanks to all who helped mine had buddy seat originally and it has been removed and console brackets put in so im removing and installing thanks again

Does anyone know anyone who recovers the buddy seats?

I wish you hadnt brought that Up.... after this weekend I'll be ordering new interior too. I have two great options...I HOPE one of the guys can do it. MAYBE with the good existing left over material?????

I ordered a new cover for mine from Summit. Been too busy this summer to install it. Will post pics when I do.

NJRR can you tell how the vendor is that made the cover?

I looked on summit , entered all my cars info and narrowed it down to 100 items for interior, tried their search bar to define seat covers....page after page of "custom" seats/covers I'll have to try it again when I have more time.

Here's the link from Summit for the one I ordered. It's made by PUI. Seems well made, no info on fit yet. It did take a while to get it, 4-6 weeks if I remember correctly.

NJRR, thank you. PUI being the manufacturer is really helpful. My car has the gold with black trim so I'll have to find my colors. This is a great start though. Thank you.

NJRR can you get different colors? I'm needing blue. If I read right that one is in white.

I would imagine you can get any color. I think they make them to order. Google PUI.
