Hahaha yeah they like to mess with you for everything over here, however if it does become a problem (emissions/street legal wise) I will be registering my truck in Texas and driving it here to get around some things.

I still have my bone stock 94 Caravan and all I did was install a cold air intake, thank God I kept the original for whatever reasons? My numbers were good but they failed me for having the cold air intake, went home, swapped filters and passed with much lower numbers. YES, the cold air intake produced cleaner emissions, Go Figure??? CARB Nazi's! My life went south from there and left while I still could. Good Luck dodging the system being a resident with a out of state truck, sooner or later, you will get caught! Good Luck

Appreciate it man, currently looking at some hooker performance headers right now and I’m thinking of doing a true dual exhaust a little down the road
I will add that, if it is even possible in Cali! Good luck my friend! Ruffcut

Yeah i know over time they’ll start to mess with me, the new laws are pretty stupid. The only way around it is if I have a Texas driver’s license after the first couple months which is not much of a problem for me, just more of a hassle.

Depending on where you are living, there may be a way out of the smog issue. When I lived in San Diego county, Ramona which is east county, there were different rules for the remote portions of the county. If you were in Ranchita, Shelter Valley, Borrego, Campo and some other east side sparsely populated areas you didn't get smogged every two years like the towns closer to the coast. Not sure where you are other than L.A. area but its worth checking into. Also you can track down the smog referee in your area to find out about the requirements for an engine switch to a later unit like a 93-5 Magnum. 96 on units are OBD2 units and require more work to integrate. I'm assuming yours is already EFI, probably throttle body. There are plenty of mods that can be done to the -95 units that won't show up to the naked eye. Is your truck already equipped with a 518 trans? You may not have much to do, integration wise, to do an update.
