Suspension Upgrade

 Well stated because finding an alignment guy who actually knows that these mopar front suspensions actually can be “moved around “ has been frustrating. This can be like trying to get the kid at the parts counter understand what a common generic part is, and no It’s not in the damn computer.

Just my opinion and experience and that’s all. :BangHead: :BangHead::thumbsup:
When you find an alignment shop that has the smarts for your car, you'd be a fool to expect it to be the $59.95 deal. Expect to get charged by the hour since the "deal" ends up being "set the toe and let it go". There are quite a bit of things to get squared away on the car, especially after you replace components. Whoever you use, specify that you want a 4 wheel alignment done. This way, the targets get hung on all 4 wheels. You have to align the front to the rear so the car does not end up going down the road sideways. Ask them to check the "thrust angle". This is the measurement from the front to the rear. If this is off, you get the sideways action going on. If its severe, it could mean you have structure damage going on, which means possible frame shop time or a bent diff housing. If its off a small amount, it can be adjusted out with shims that Hotchkis makes that go between the front spring mount and the unibody. If they won't do the 4 wheel or put targets on all 4, find someone else. And find out from FF what they recommend for alignment specs.

Thank you for your well written additional information. I was going to add much the same to my post but tried to keep it shorter because I am lazy typing sometimes. My last alignment on my Charger was just over $200.00 and I was in the pit with the guy. He was around my age and knew these mopars really well. Worth every penny. :luvplace:
