DON'T tar and FEATHER the NEWB

Welcome from Indiana. Nice Chevelle, had a buddy that had a 64 El Camino and a 63 split window for quite a few years.

Bienvenido desde México:drinks:. Nice Chevelle, the guys here are correct, most of us like other brands beside mopars,me, I like vw's be ready to pay a lot of money for a 68-70 b body 2door those cars are increasing value rapidly, not to mention a 2nd gen hemi.

Welcome!
Aren't HEMI's illegal in New Jersey? LOL! Just kidding.

Welcome aboard from Ohio. Good luck on search.

Welcome to the site, you are about to get the shock of your life. Mopar stuff, especially Hemi stuff is dramatically more expensive than pretty much anything in the GM world to include Corvette stuff. I once bought a 64 SS 283 4spd for $150... lol sold it to my boss who made a dirt track car out of it.

With all this said, here is what I would recommend; find a body style you like and source a running/driving car. Then you can get a 426 Hemi crate motor or perhaps a used motor from someone (they are out there) and then build the car you are seeing in your head.

Yup, not looking for any projects. Just a finished car. ...have already done that with the car above. I would but a nice 383 car and chuck a Hemi in it if it were the right car and price.

No shock here...been around a long time and know the drill. I sold my Chevelle for what a Ray Barton engine costs.

A lot of Chevy and Ford guys come onto these forums wanting to get into Mopar's and many times are shocked at what they cost to build, but the reward is worth the cost (at least to a Mopar guy).

There are a lot of engines out there (Hemi's that is) but there are also so many other suitable power plants as well.

Welcome from Missouri!!

Welcome aboard from the Pacific Northwest and some will forgive you for not converting earlier
Lots of B bodies and a real nice b block will run forever with minimal work and plenty of power. I build my cars to be thoroughly enjoyed and driven pretty much all year long.
Simplicity and dependability are always the main ingredients for me and my wife is very involved and these cars really make her smile and that’s just priceless in my humble opinion.

:luvplace: :welcome: :steering: :usflag: :moparsmiley::moparsmiley::moparsmiley:

maybe start a new thread in the General discussion forum
or one of the other forums, like the Rest-mod & Pro-Touring
or the racers hangout or the year specific forums here

this is just the welcome wagon, nowhere near as many viewers

Welcome aboard. I my restore, build, race, cruise and show Mopars. However, spend way more time helping my buddies work on all of their brand X Ferds, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiacs and a few other Mopar Buddies. I enjoy all American Muscle. Nice Chevelle, my bro in law has a 69 and my buddy has two 68's.
